Rewind: Shepard Fairey’s Street Art
Posted by Katherine | December 6, 2008 – 5:32 am[We will occasionally be posting cool stuff (under the heading “Rewind”) that dates back to the campaign itself — things we didn’t have enough time to write up before the election.]
To wrap up the Shepard Fairey theme of the last few posts (for now, anyway): three street-art shots of his viral Obama poster.
Mlovitt from DC took this picture on U Street in the capital on election night. Here the poster is combined with some of Fairey’s other work that expresses peace and equality.

Rosemarie Hughes-Croucher served in the Army for four years as a mental-health counselor and is now a vegan massage therapist in San Francisco. On election day, after casting her vote, she took some Obama shots around town. [Update 9 Dec 2008: Rosemarie clarified via Flickrmail that although she’s a registered massage therapist, she now makes her living as an artist.]

Just a few days before the election, Denverite David Smyth (featured also here) recorded this shop window during a local Obama rally.
