Former Illegal Immigrants Voted for Obama

Sue Salinger found this video of an Obama-supporting family in California. They’re talking about their votes on a moonlit night just after casting their ballots. Erick, a 30-year-old who likes Sade and Pablo Neruda, first films his giddy mom and slightly embarrassed teenaged brother (a first-time voter). Then he turns the camera on himself to explain that he and his mother, now proud US citizens, had been illegal immigrants from Colombia.
