The Only Thing We Have to Fear Is Fear Itself
Posted by Katherine | September 23, 2008 – 4:55 pmDeHoll is a grandfather in the DC area who likes to tell stories. This one is visual: in the bread-line statue from FDR’s memorial in Washington, DeHoll recalls FDR’s Depression-era “the only thing we have to fear is fear itself” — and he mixes it up with current financial-crisis headlines. (Thanks, Sue Salinger.)

DeHoll says:
The party of self reliance doesn’t really seem to have the survival of families on their agenda. A lot of people I know have slid further and further into the red.
I’m gonna make Tuesday Nov. 4 Black Tuesday around my house. I’m hoping folks who couldn’t imagine voting for the other guy will simply look around and see they ain’t rich….
DeHoll also admits that he himself is “at the door of the soup kitchen.”
